ANOTHER DRUG DEALER OFF THE STREET! (31-10-2017)

Dear Residents

Thanks to the JMPD K9 unit, JMPD Region F 2, Booysens CPF, Guardian Angels Security and Environmental Health we managed to arrest a drug dealer in Towerby!

We found cat, nyoepe, and heroin amongst other drugs on the premises! While the war against crime continues, at least one more drug dealer is off the streets!

Today I had the privilege of opening and attended a fantastic workshop on Mental Health at the Talisman foundation. (25-10-2017)

Thanks to the Department of Health for organizing it and all the NGO's that were involved on the day! We also signed a pledge to stop the stigma against our mental health patients! #stopthestigma#breakthesilence

ANTI DRUG CAMPAIGN A HUGE SUCCESS! (20-10-2017)

I'm pleased to announce that the anti drug awareness campaign through Turffontein and Rosettenville was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone that took the time to come and attend! We had close to 800 people present!

A big thank you goes to Ward 55 Cllr Rashieda Landis, Ward 57 Councillor Faeeza Chame, Ward 124 Councillor Mongameli Myameni, Member of Parliament for JHB South Manny de Freitas, SAPS, JMPD, Booysens CPF, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, Pest Control, Ward Governance, Southern Business Community Forum, Kenilworth Spar, Meat World Comaro Crossing, Pick n Pay Comaro Crossing, Cash Crusaders, Meals on Wheels, Zoom Juice, THAG, REC Wellness Centre, Alcohol and Drug Concerns, the social workers, faith based organizations, the Boys and Girls brigade and the 10 local schools that participated.

This morning I had the privilege of attending a human trafficking workshop at the Turffontein Racecourse focusing on cases in the Rosettenville area.

Present was Department of Social Services MEC Nandi Mayathula- Khoza, Heath MMC Mpho Phalatse, as well as Ward 55 Councillor Rashieda Landis, Ward 57 Councillor Faeeza Chame, Ward 124 Councillor Mongameli Mayameni and myself.

It was very informative and a privilege for me to give the vote of thanks!


Yesterday myself, together with Cllr Tyrell Meyers caught this truck illegally dumping in a park! (04-10-2017)

We promptly stopped them and got the JMPD there! They were issued with a fine and made to clean up what they had dumped!

   

Today I attended, as member of the Section 79 Transport committee, the official launch of Transport month and the unveiling of the Completion of the M1 rehabilitation Project! (03-10-2017)

This should assist the easing of traffic within our city! Present was Gauteng Premier David Makhura, Transport MEC Dr Ismail Vadi, Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba, MMC Helen Makhuba, and Tshwane MMC Sheila Senkubuge!

 
 

UPDATE ON JAYS PUB (02-10-2017)

Morning all just to update you that this morning myself together with Cllr Landis, The JMPD, Environmental Health officials, and The managing agent Tupa met with the owner of the Jays Pub. We are going to do a full inspection of the pub tomorrow morning and will do another inspection on Friday morning. When experiencing problems with the pub please also contact the owner Stanley on 0739047463.
